Teachers Institute

From July 2nd 2012 10:00 for 5 days • Houses of Parliament, London

A week long residential for teachers to fully immerse themselves in the work and role of both the House of Commons and the House of Lords, through a range of workshops, seminars and observations. During the week delegates have the chance to meet and questions members of both Houses as well as experts in a variety of areas. All places are free of charge and all travel and accommodation are provided. Applications open on the 1st January 2012

A resident week in Westminster

Immerse yourself in the politics of Parliament with this unique professional development opportunity. Teachers of citizenship and related subjects and education professionals can apply to experience an intensive, informative and unforgettable week based at the Houses of Parliament.

The programme covers travel costs (for UK delegates), residential accommodation and most meals. All resources, workshops and events are free of charge.

Teachers' Institute dates

The 2012 Teachers' Institute will take place from 2 - 6 July. Applications for places will open in January 2012 but teachers and PGCE students can register their interest now by emailing us
