Student Event for Years 9, 10 and 11

Programme aims:

·        To give students a chance to engage in a dialogue with parliamentarians and the political sphere.

·        To enable students to participate in an informative and interactive workshop about Parliament and to develop their debating skills.

·        To involve students from a range of schools in a parliamentary-style debate.

What to expect:

·        Workshops designed to provide an introduction to Parliament and to develop debating skills.

·        The chance to interact with Members of both Houses and other political figures in a group ‘political speed-dating’ activity.

·        An in-depth exploration and discussion of a topic through a debate chaired by a parliamentarian.

·        Networking opportunities with students and staff from other schools and colleges in the area.

·        A selection of educational resources to take away from Parliament’s Education Service.
