ICT Masterclass 2012: An Olympic Challenge for Years 7-9

Course Description:
Using all aspects of elearning@luton’s cutting edge educational spaces, the ICT
Masterclass 2012 will challenge participants to learn a wide range of multimedia skills
over a two day period.
Focusing on the 2012 London Olympics, students will be given the scenario of creating a
film for the opening ceremony of the games. Working in mixed teams, they will
experience all elements of the process of film making from planning to script creation,
filming and editing. Students will create three minute films using live action, the
television studio, stop frame animation, computer generated animation and music
technology. The winning film will be screened at “The Slates” Film Awards in Luton in June
2012.
Course Cost: £50 Per Pupil (1 SLA Credit Per Pupil).
